Japan’s Cat Island Asks Internet For Food

Oshima, also known as Cat Island, is a small isolated island in Ehaimi province in southern Japan where cats are 6 times more numerous than humans. Recently, the food service was closed due to bad weather. In order to prevent cats from starving, the islanders asked for help from the internet.

"Please send cat food to Oshima," said Twitt cat healers. "There are no stores to buy food here in Oshima ... People here get their products by taking a boat to get to the mainland." However, there is a lot of wind in winter and the boat service is often suspended.

A few days later, the island was full of gifts. "Please stop sending supplies (cat food) to Oshima," said the following tweets. "We have more than expected, and there is no more storage room." Everything will be fine until April. Thank you very much. »Feel the power of the Internet and Internet users!
