Why Are Cats So Deadly Afraid Of Cucumbers? It looks funny, but here why you shouldn't do it for your cat

Why Are Cats So Deadly Afraid Of Cucumbers?

There is a new type of cat video that assails the Internet: cucumbers scare cats. Yes, it seems that a stealthy predator that does not think about avoiding large shelves or exploring dark and unknown corners is really terrified by a common vegetable. But according to some experts, scaring cats with cucumbers is bad for them. Therefore, you may want to think twice before trying to remove this stuffing from your pet.

Cats vs Cucumbers Compilation

According to the evidence of a dozen videos on YouTube, there seems to be something about cucumbers that cats find irrationally frightening. Upon discovering a nearby cucumber, our feline lords jump into the air, take off or prepare for battle against the invasive green monstrosity. So, what is it?

Well, IFL Science suggests that the answer may not be specific to cucumbers, but that cucumbers have been placed nearby without the cats knowing. Cats can fear anything that can escape that way. Meanwhile, Jill Goldman, a certified animal behavior specialist, told National Geographic that it is possible that the first instinct of cats is to assume that cucumber is a snake, which can be a deadly predator. And when you think about it, since you can not find a cucumber or similar object on the ground, and the cat has not seen or heard the cucumber approach, it's not an unreasonable assumption.

Whatever the cause, it is not very pleasant to scare your pets. And it's potentially very bad for them.
